FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Got more questions? I have more answers.

Q1: Why NoW?

Costs always rise each year, but 2025–2026 brought substantially bigger changes. We navigated economic decline, unprecedented inflation, and client loss due to massive layoffs. We made difficult decisions regarding temporary cuts and explored various growth methods, in an attempt to avoid price hikes like we saw with eggs and fuel. We are now at a turning point. Hours of market research has led to new rates which are in line with other respected, boutique, Chicago studios. This will enable us to keep up with competitive pay for our deserving team members and keep our doors open to everyone and every body, regardless of background.

Q2: Can I stock up on packs to use later?

Yes! We love a good shopping spree :) Any packs purchased before September 1st, 2026 (and during the grace period for qualified clients) will be honored at the rate you paid for them. Please note expiration periods are changing starting September 1, so if you’re buying during the grace period, pay attention to the nexpiration dates so you don’t buy more than you can use!

Q3: The math isn't mathing for me. Why are drop-in class rates the same, yet the membership and multi-pack rates are increasing?

The drop-in rate already reflects the per-class value of our space and instruction. Membership and multi-pack rates were adjusted to keep pace with the true cost of instruction. By bringing the per-class discount closer to its true value, we can maintain a variety of bulk pricing options including 10-pack discounts, which are becoming more rare in the industry.

Q4: Help! I'm confused. I'm a current member - what am I paying when?

By staying on membership, your September through December 2026 billing will be the same as what you have paid in August.

In January 2027, your auto-pay will be based on the new rates.

The grace period for qualifying clients is to provide time to consider whether staying on membership is what's best for you.

Q5: I'm on a super old grandfathered membership from the old space. Is my rate changing too?

Yes. While we appreciate your patronage all the way from the ye olden days of 2771 N Milwaukee Ave, we are now in the future where those rates are no longer sustainable. Please see Q4 for what to expect in terms of billing.

Q6: I'm new here and this is a lot of words... What happens if I signed up for membership recently or plan to?

If you're a newer member or plan to start by August 31st, you will encounter the same scenario as other existing members described in Q4.

If you sign up for membership September 1st and later, it’ll be with the new rates and no further changes month to month are planned for.

Q7: I have taken private sessions before - how does the transition work for me?

If you've booked a private session between June 1st and August 31st, 2026, your August private rates will apply automatically at checkout through October 31, 2026. No promo code needed.

If you haven't completed a private session between June 1st and August 31st, 2026, new rates will apply come September 1 regardless of whether you were a private client before June 1st, 2026.

Q8: I'm currently on a Community Membership / sliding scale rate, and it's about to expire. What now?

We will continue to set aside a portion of our regular priced sales to the Equity in Wellness Fund, which provides subsidized memberships for those of disparaged backgrounds and enables sliding-scale options on a case-by-case basis. Never hesitate to reach out — we will always make space for conversations and do what we can based on first-come, first-serve and available funding.

Q9: Will community events continue?

Our community events are funded through the LSQP Equity in Wellness program; thus, we will continue to offer them throughout the year based on available funding.

Q10: Will there be changes to how you run group classes?

We generally aim for consistency to benefit both employees' well-being and the community. That said, two areas are always subject to change.

  • Weekly schedules have been and still will be subject to change based on team availability.

  • Classes may be canceled for just the week or taken off the regular schedule if the profit margins are unsustainable, whether due to low-enrollment or a lack of regular-priced paying clients (i.e. classes with only ClassPass, Equity in Wellness, Sliding Scale clients are at higher risk of cancellation).

  • When we say we only do small group classes, what we are aiming for is safe, individualized instruction in a group setting, not a specific number. What constitutes a "small class" is subject to how many our team can comfortably manage, which may change due to many variables. Thus, enrollment capacity is always subject to increase or decrease based on our assessment of what sets everyone up for success.
