LEVEL 1 PILATES EQUIPMENT

If you are new to Pilates equipment or would like a refresher of the fundamentals, this is a great place to start. We will walk you through the equipment vocabulary, fundamentals and technique and discuss the importance of precision, control and breath while making sure you get a great workout. It is important that you learn the proper function and form before advancing your practice.

LEVEL 2 PILATES EQUIPMENT

Have you been coming to Pilates classes consistently for a few months? Ready to move a little faster and deepen your connections? Then Level 2 is for you.

You will move through a system of challenging exercises lying face down, face up, sitting and standing on the reformer while working with spring loaded weight and props. You will continue to reinforce Pilates principles of breath, precision, control, flow, centering and concentration while practicing your body placement. We move at a quicker pace than Level 1 so you’ll become more familiar with your body and the equipment. We may introduce you to a few new moves and some new things you may not have known about yourself.

LEVEL 3 PILATES EQUIPMENT

Significant previous Pilates equipment experience is required. You will move through a system of challenging exercises lying face down, face up, sitting and standing on the reformer while working with spring loaded weight and props.

MIXED LEVEL PILATES EQUIPMENT

All levels welcome, although we recommend beginners take a few Level 1 classes first. Pilates is known for its amazing ability to strengthen your mind and core, improve back stability and create a long, lean, supple body. You will move through a system of challenging exercises lying face down, face up, sitting and standing on the reformer while working with spring loaded weight and props.

JUMPBOARD PILATES EQUIPMENT

All levels welcome, although we recommend beginners take a few Level 1 classes first. Pilates Jumpboard is a high intensity cardio-based Pilates Reformer exercise that simulates running and jumping without stressing your joints. This class will get you into your target heart rate zone! A great cardio workout option for those who have physical restrictions that prevent them from high impact exercise.

Pilates chair

Ten prior Pilates classes (Mat or Reformer), or comparable outside experience with instructor approval are required. Of all the pieces of Pilates Equipment, the Wunda Chair offers the most athletic challenge. Unlike the Reformer or Cadillac Table, the base of support on the Chair is small, so all the exercises require balanced alignment and proper core support. To perform the intermediate and advanced exercises, you will need good upper body and lower body strength, pelvic stability and a strong core. The Chair's small size belies its remarkable power to build core stability and improve one’s overall Pilates practice.

A few well-designed movements, properly performed in a balanced sequence, are worth hours of doing sloppy calisthenics or forced contortion.
