LEVEL 1 PILATES EQUIPMENT

If you are new to Pilates equipment or would like a refresher of the fundamentals, this is a great place to start. We will walk you through the equipment vocabulary, fundamentals and technique and discuss the importance of precision, control and breath while making sure you get a great workout. It is important that you learn the proper function and form before advancing your practice.

 

LEVEL 2 PILATES EQUIPMENT

Pilates equipment experience is required. You will move through a system of challenging exercises lying face down, face up, sitting and standing on the reformer while working with spring loaded weight and props.

 

LEVEL 3 PILATES EQUIPMENT

Significant previous Pilates equipment experience is required. You will move through a system of challenging exercises lying face down, face up, sitting and standing on the reformer while working with spring loaded weight and props.

 

MIXED LEVEL PILATES EQUIPMENT

All levels welcome, although we recommend beginners take a few Level 1 classes first. Pilates is known for its amazing ability to strengthen your mind and core, improve back stability and create a long, lean, supple body. You will move through a system of challenging exercises lying face down, face up, sitting and standing on the reformer while working with spring loaded weight and props.

 

JUMPBOARD PILATES EQUIPMENT

All levels welcome, although we recommend beginners take a few Level 1 classes first. Pilates Jumpboard is a high intensity cardio-based Pilates Reformer exercise that simulates running and jumping without stressing your joints. This class will get you into your target heart rate zone! A great cardio workout option for those who have physical restrictions that prevent them from high impact exercise. 

 

Helpful tips

Pilates equipment studio classes are designed for varying levels from beginner to advanced, or mixed level as noted below. Capacity is 4 students max. 

Level 1: Beginner

Level 2: Intermediate

Level 3: Advanced

Mixed Level: All welcome

PILATES MAT OPEN LEVEL

All levels welcome. Pilates Mat is a full body workout that challenges the core through balance, strength and flexibility. This class is a challenging yet safe way to add increased agility into your everyday movements. Exercises will be performed on a yoga mat with a variety of props such as balls, bands, and magic circles for resistance and support. 

 

Prenatal/postnatal PILATES MAT

This Pilates Mat class is designed for new moms - both prenatal and postnatal. Pilates has been shown to increase pelvic floor muscle strength and endurance in pregnant women. This can both aid in labor and help rebuild strength post-delivery. This class is open to all levels and stages, and the instructor will teach modifications to address your specific needs. It is recommended that pregnant women and new moms consult their physician when beginning a new exercise routine, including Pilates.

 

BARRE SCULPT

Barre Sculpt mixes elements of Pilates mat, ballet, and functional training. Each move is choreographed to fun motivating music. In this energizing and targeted class, you'll use the ballet barre and equipment such as balls, bands, and small hand weights to sculpt, lengthen, stretch, and activate your muscles and core.  

 

POWER BARRE

Power Barre mixes elements of core work, ballet, and functional training. Each move is choreographed to fun motivating music. In this energizing and targeted class, you'll use the ballet barre and equipment such as mini-balls, bands, and small hand weights to sculpt, lengthen, stretch, and activate your muscles and core. This is a higher intensity interval style of Barre class.

 

BARRE FLOW

Barre Flow mixes elements of yoga, ballet, and functional training. Each move is choreographed to fun motivating music. In this energizing and targeted class, you'll use the ballet barre and equipment such as mini-balls, bands, and small hand weights to sculpt, lengthen, stretch, and activate your muscles and core. This style of Barre class leverages vinyasa yoga to warm up and ground your movements. 

 

WERQ®

WERQ is a cardio based dance class choreographed to a bumpin' playlist and is open to all levels. You'll preview the dance steps at the top of class during the warmup and end with a nice cool down that incorporates core work, yoga, and static stretching. This class is a BLAST!

 

YOGA FOUNDATIONS

This class breaks down the crucial components you'll need to perfect the most fundamental of yoga poses. The sequences are perfect for beginners but are also guaranteed to enlighten advanced students. 

 

YOGA FOR THE CORE

The core is your center of power. The core is where your center of gravity originates and where you find strength for your posture, yoga poses, balance, back and just about everything else. You will be lead through a flow that incorporates lots of poses designed to strengthen the core. The class is balanced with poses that will lengthen the core muscles as well, creating a long and lean torso that will stabilize and power you through everything you do. This class is challenging but will be taught with modifications for beginners. 

 

POWER FLOW YOGA

Get ready to challenge and change your body, turning stress into sweat, this class will work every muscle while balancing your mind through challenging postures and connected breath. Unleash your inner warrior as you power up your practice set to inspiring tunes! Class will be taught with modifications. 

 

RESTORATIVE FLOW YOGA

Restorative yoga helps provide that physical and mental balance to prevent stress and anxiety. We will use straps, blocks, bolsters and weighted bags in this class to allow you to hold poses longer and more comfortably, giving you all the benefits of deep, passive stretching. This class will boost your immune system, balance your nervous system, quiet your mind, help heal emotional pain, and enhance your flexibility.

 

CANDLELIGHT YOGA

Calm your senses before bedtime and indulge in this peaceful yoga experience combining soft music and candlelight to soothe the soul. This class focuses on poses that promote relaxation, restoration and rejuvenation. Quiet your mind and help relieve the effects of chronic stress including weakness and fatigue brought on by your daily fast paced life. 

 

Helpful tips

Pilates mat/barre/yoga studio classes are all mixed level. Capacity is 10 students max.
